Links
Creating links
Section titled “Creating links”Links → New link. Paste the destination; optionally set a custom stub (up to 64 characters) and pick which of your domains it lives on. Codes are otherwise auto-generated (7 characters, collision-checked).
Every destination passes safety screening before the link goes live — scheme checks, internal-address blocking, shortener-chain blocking and malware / phishing reputation, with live destinations re-scanned daily.
Editing — links are dynamic
Section titled “Editing — links are dynamic”Everything about a live link can change without the URL changing:
- Destination — re-points the link and any printed QR instantly. Destination edits are never metered, on any plan.
- Status — disable and re-enable without deleting.
- Expiry — set a date/time after which visitors see a branded “link expired” page instead of the destination.
- Notify channels — which alerts fire for this link.
Redirects are served as 302 (never 301) by design, so browsers and crawlers never permanently cache a destination you might re-point.
Attach up to 25 key/value tags per link (campaign: spring, site: leeds).
Tags flow everywhere: filter the link library, slice analytics, and every
webhook event carries the link’s tags so your systems can route on them.
Bulk import
Section titled “Bulk import”Import takes a CSV of up to 500 rows per batch (destination, optional stub, domain, tags) — plan caps apply (Pro 1,000 rows, Business 10,000). The same operation is available over the API.
What happens if billing lapses
Section titled “What happens if billing lapses”Nothing is deleted — ever. The account becomes read-only and redirects pause; reactivate and every link, QR and analytics record is restored instantly. The full promise is in writing on the continuity page.
